Labradorite is a captivating member of the feldspar family, best known for its striking optical effect known as labradorescence—a dazzling play of light that flashes blues, greens, golds, and even purples when viewed from different angles. This mystical stone is primarily found in Madagascar, Russia, Canada, and Scandinavia.
 
It was first discovered in the 18th century on the Labrador Peninsula in Canada by Moravian missionaries, and it was named after its place of origin. Due to its shimmering, multi-colored surface, Labradorite is sometimes confused with or referred to as “rainbow moonstone”, although the two are distinct minerals.
 
Historically, Labradorite has been called "The Old Warrior’s Stone" because it is believed to support souls who have undergone many past lives or intense spiritual journeys. It is thought to carry ancient wisdom and strength, helping individuals reconnect with their soul’s purpose.
